The property is in an ideal location for getting to know this fabulous area of the Dordogne and Lot et Garonne and is literally on the border between the 2 departments.
The house is set in the village so walkable to the local bakery, shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a morning market each Thursday and during the summer season there is a night market on a Tuesday and a night food market on a Thursday. Throughout the summer there are many special events and festivals.
The property is just a 25 minute drive to Bergerac which is set on the river Dordogne with a stunning old town and quay as well as an International Airport. The vibrant city of Bordeaux in approximately a 90 minute drive. The area is well known for amazing restaurants and many beautiful historic and wine Chateaux as well other places to visit such as the prehistorical caves and grottos. The area also has plenty of sporting activities for the more energic with Chateau des Vigiers Hotel, Golf and Country Club just a 15 minutes drive away as well as fishing, canoeing, horse riding etc.

Getting Here

The property is easily accessed by air, train and car. The nearest airport is Bergerac (30 minutes by car) and Bordeaux (90 minutes). The TGV stops at Libourne (50 minutes) and for motorway access the autoroute at Marmande is just 40 minutes away. If you wish to drive, the property is about 6 ½ hours drive from St Malo ferry and 9 ½ hours from Calais.
