Local Area

This gite complex is in an ideal location not only to explore this fabulous area of the Dordogne as you are just 20 minutes south of Bergerac and the river Dordogne as well as International Airport but you are in midst of beautiful bastide villages with Sarlat to the east and St Emilion and Bordeaux to the west - all accessible for day trips out. You are literally just 5 minutes to the bastide village of Eymet with bustling markets and shops, restaurants and bars. There is a weekly morning market every Thursday and throughout July and August there are night markets on a Tuesday and a Thursday. There are also many special events taking place each week.
St Emilion is a 50 minute drive from the Villa to the west and the same distance to East takes you towards the Dordogne riverside towns of Limeuil and onto Domme and the beautiful towns around there such as Sarlat.

Getting Here

The property is easily accessed by air, train and car. The nearest airport is Bergerac (20 minutes by car) and Bordeaux (90 minutes). The TGV stops at Libourne (50 minutes). If you wish to drive, the property is about 6.5 hours drive from St Malo ferry and 9.5 hours from Calais.
