This delightful holiday home has recently been fully renovated and sleeps up to 6 guests in 3 bedrooms in luxury. The property is set on the prominent position overlooking the beautiful countryside. The soft furnishings and furniture are all of a high quality. You enter in through gates to a charming parking area with the Games Barn to the left and the cottage to the right.

The Cottage

The main entrance takes you into a small lobby which then opens into the large living area and dining area. This living room is air conditioned and also has a pool table in as well. The sofas are plush and are centred around the characterful fireplace and large screen television. Through the living room is the kitchen and utility room. The kitchen is small but well equipped and opens onto a spectacular covered summer kitchen, bar area and exterior dining. The utility room has an extra fridge and washing machine.

All the accommodation is on the ground floor and the three bedrooms are accessed from the living room.

The 3 bedrooms are comprised as follows:

Bedroom 1 has a king-size bed (160cm) with an en-suite shower room.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed (140cm).
Bedroom 3 has a king-size bed (160cm).
There is a family shower room which is shared between bedrooms 2 and 3 and is ideally placed between them.

Games Barn

There is a large barn area that has table tennis, darts and other outdoor games.

Outside Living

The property is surrounded by beautiful countryside and the views across the countryside and down towards the hamlet's church are stunning. There is a fantastic terrace that opens up from the kitchen and incorporates a summer kitchen with fridge, BBQ/Asado Grill, bar area and dining area. This area overlooks the large heated swimming pool which has an alarm for security. There is also a lawned area and plenty of well established trees and shrubs. There are plenty of recliners and parasols around the pool area and a purpose built Petanque pitch.

Local Area

This property has the best of both worlds. Set in a quiet hamlet but mid way between the beautiful Bastide villages of Eymet in the Dordogne and Miramont de Guyenne in the Lot et Garonne. Both are just a 5 minute drive from the property.

The village of Eymet has a weekly morning market each Thursday throughout the year and during the summer months there are additional night markets on a Tuesday and Thursday as well as many other different fetes and celebrations. Miramont de Guyenne has a weekly morning market on a Monday and also many special events throughout the year.

The Dordogne riverside town of Bergerac with it's International Airport is just a 25 minute drive north and the vibrant city of Bordeaux with a larger Airport is just a one hour and 30 minute drive to the West.

There are activities to suit all ages and interests, foodies will enjoy the great local restaurants at the heart of France's centre of gastronomic excellence, as well as the wine of AOC Bergerac. The area has been described as the capital of world prehistory, and culture vultures are spoilt for choice with caves, museums and chateaux aplenty.

It is possible to rent the property for shorter breaks and we have flexible arrival days throughout the year to accommodate long weekends, ideal for guests arriving for local wedding stays. It is also possible for longer term rentals out of peak season.

Getting Here

The property is located between 3 International Airports making it an easy final destination.The Dordogne river-side town of Bergerac with its International Airport is approximately a 25 minute drive away. Ryanair flies here from London Stansted, Liverpool, East Midlands and Bristol. British Airways also flies here from London City and Southampton. Jet2 flies from Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds & Bradford. Transvania flies to Rotterdam.

The vibrant city of Bordeaux is 1hr 30 minutes away, with a larger International Airport servicing even more UK and Worldwide destinations. In addition, Toulouse Airport is approximately 1hr 50 mins drive to the south - again a large International Airport.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our two weeks here at the Cottage. Thank heavens for the pool and air con in week one! We were very happy to chill in the beautiful and well set up house. We enjoyed exploring more once it cooled down. Night markets in Soumensac were a highlight and we enjoyed Eymet and Duras particularly. Also pottery at Vevette Ceramique and an amazing tour and tasting at Chateau de Fayolle. Natalie & Chris were kind and helpful and their love of this special place spills out and was certaining transmitted to us all.

The Cottage ticked every box as the perfect villa for a relaxing 3 generational family holiday. The fully fitted and kitted-out canopied outdoor space was a dream. BBQ's were the go-to meal! In addition to the gorgeous pool there were plenty of other pursuits available - petanque, darts, ping pong and bicycles. The villa was beautifully furnished in a French farmhouse country chic style and everywhere was spotless. We couldn't recommend enough!

We've really enjoyed our stay at the Cottage. The air-conditioning and the pool kept us cool through the heatwave when temperatres soared - 38 degrees!! We appreciated Natalie's "What's on today" WhatsApps and enjoyed visits to Bergerac, Bordeaux and St Emilion. The Friday night "Soiree Gourmande" at Sauvetat du Dropt had a great choice of food and a lovely atmosphere. A lovely villa with easy access to lots of interesting towns and villages.

We loved the outdoor kitchen, which made it easy to enjoy meals outside, and the swimming pool was fantastic for relaxing throughout our stay. The pool table was a great addition and provided plenty of entertainment for all our party. The accommodation itself was beautifully and tastefully decorated, with a high standard of finish that made it feel both luxurious and welcoming. Everything came together to create a wonderful place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Natalie was an exceptional host from start to finish. She was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help, while giving us plenty of privacy to enjoy our holiday. Communication was excellent throughout, and it was clear how much care and attention she puts into making sure her guests have a wonderful stay. The property was beautifully presented and impeccably maintained, which is a real testament to her hard work. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and would highly recommend both Natalie and her accommodation to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in the area.

Enjoyed a wonderful week at your beautiful villa - weather was fabulous. We've gone home with ideas of having an outdoor kitchen - absolutely a must! We just spent Christmas at this wonderful house. Although we could not use the pool and outside kitchen due to the weather we still had a great time and I can imagine it would be bliss in summer. The house was decorated beautifully with a large Christmas tree which was a lovely surprise and made our stay very special. Natalie and Chris made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our dogs loved the property too.
